Which is why I ADORE the MAGIC BELLES website - they're a website designed for girls aged 3-7 (but that's not to stop boys and all ages joining in!). They have loads of activities and crafts that encourage children to use their imaginations and creativity.
In an age when kids grow up so quickly, I love that I have a place to visit with Big Sis (and Lil Sis eventually) that's all about fun, and wonder, and magic.
I'd love to spend all day making dinosaurs out of egg cartons, and growing cress in yoghurt pots but, very inconveniently, I have to squeeze some pesky work into my day too. Boooo!! Still, I'm very aware that Big Sis is starting school this September, and that the time will absolutely fly by, so I'm trying to fit in as much 'quality time' as I can before she deserts me. Sniff sniff.
The other day Cupcake Belle posted a cookie recipe that not only looked fab, but was well within my limited baking abilities. Score! So, I gathered up my mixing bowl and mini-Smarties, and off we went...
creaming the butter and sugar
you can never have too many mini-smarties
can you guess which ones are big sis's?
the finished result. scrum-diddly-umptious!
You can check out the Magic Belles cookie recipe yourself, at www.magicbelles.com, or follow them on Twitter @magicbelles. Happy Baking! xx
