All Mums are amazing, but there are some who truly go above and beyond.
Women who just blow you away with the remarkable sacrifices they make,
and the vital services they provide.
Like Helen Wynne, 40, of
Wrexham. After six heart-breaking miscarriages, Helen and husband Dean
were thrilled when she gave birth to their beautiful boy Dyfan, a much
longed-for brother for their older daughter Meg.
But just one
week later tiny Dyfan fell ill with meningitis. Then, more devastating
news. He was diagnosed with a genetic disorder so rare he's the only
known sufferer in the whole of the UK. He would never walk, or talk.
Unable to find the top-quality specialty care her son needed, Helen
retrained so she could provide it herself. Realising there must be other
families in desperate need of a special-needs childminding company they
could trust, she and husband Dean opened Blythswood Childcare Services
in 2004.
Today they care for up to 12 children at a time, and also provide respite care for families who desperately need a break. No wonder then, that Helen has just been named Tesco's Achieving Mum of the Year.
But
she's just one of the amazing, deserving winners across the different
categories for Tesco Mum of the Year 2012. A full list of ALL the
amazing women will be announced soon, and you'll be able to read about them all on the TESCO MAGAZINE WEBSITE.
Just make sure you have your tissues handy!!
