ROCK-A-BYE BABY (trendy tuesday)

Alright. Hands up. I dress my girls like Tomboys.

As a result Lil Sis has been called Little Lad, Him, and Fella more times than I can count (although, in my defence, even when I had her in a bright pink sweatshirt emblazoned with 'Lil Sis' someone still came up and remarked on how cute 'he' was).

Neither of them are girly girls anyway, and running around at top speed just isn't very feasible in frilly dresses and pretty shoes. A hair bow? Pffffffft! It wouldn't last five seconds with my kids.

Here Lil Sis is wearing a Guns & Rose t-shirt from the uber cool Burp Boutique, some pink Moccis (soooo much easier than forcing shoes on an unwilling toddler) and a pair of hand-me-down H&M cargo jeans I bought for Big Sis a couple of years.

And my favourite accessory - a big smile.

  1. I don't dress my girls in pretty, pretty clothes often. I'm a jeans and tshirt kinda gal, so it's rubbed off on my girls although they do love pink. I must say I adore H&Ms cargo pants, I love to put my girls in them they look über cool, especially with a cute top and trainers. Ideal for a runabout.

Ditto! I never wore dresses when I was growing up, so I just don't think to buy them for my girls. Perhaps I should though - I caught Big Sis wearing one of my t-shirts like a dress the other day, saying: 'Mummy, I'm pretty!!' LOL!!! x

  3. When I was a little girl I would have loved to have been dressed like this, my mother had a bit of a thing for Laura Ashley.

  4. Love it! I get uncomfortable with the idea that my son should only wear certain colours from day one, separating gender from birth. It's also about what they're comfy and happy in!
